"War So Terrible" follows two Civil War soldiers, Benjamin Franklin Meyers of the Union and Andrew Jackson Stewart of the Confederacy, from their first battle in 1861, through the trench warfare of 1864, and into the post-war period. Their experience profoundly changes them both. Two versions are included on this DVD; a 48 minute version which features a more graphic depiction, and a less-intense 23 minute version for younger viewers.
